The Pompano Substance Abuse Treatment Center is a moderate risk Department of Juvenile Justice residential treatment facility for males ages 13-18. Students participating in the Culinary Arts program will learn meal planning, kitchen operation, table setting etiquette, food serving, portion control, cooking and baking, plate garnishing, and how to work together as a productive team. Program participants will also earn a Safe Serve Food Handling Certificate.

Duval Juvenile Residential Facility is a moderate risk Department of Juvenile Justice residential treatment facility for males ages 14-18. The masonry program includes hands-on training, instructional materials, and on-line student research to explore careers, training, and employment opportunities in the building trades. The printing program will include skill development, downloadable materials, and opportunities to explore careers, training, and employment in the field of graphic arts. Students will also have on-line access to credit recovery courses and GED preparation courses.

Pensacola Boys Base is a moderate risk Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) residential treatment program for males ages 14-18 located on a United States Navy base. It provides vocational exposure and marketable skills and behaviors through job shadowing, volunteering with community partnerships, work-study programs, and a matting and framing program.

Pilot site funds will be used to provide transportation and increase community support for this new job shadowing program with local areas businesses. Program goals are to increase graduation rates and decrease dropouts. Program components include a career preparation course, age-appropriate transition assessments, work training in natural environments, individualized skills training in the community, classroom activities, and family participation.

The Newspapers in Education program helps support this project. Teachers order the Sunday paper and bring in the coupon pages. Students cut out and sort the coupons into twenty categories such as frozen foods, canned foods, diapers, and condiments. Coupons are mailed to a distribution center where they are forwarded to military groups in need.  Students are currently working with ROTC to target certain military groups!
