The Florida Division of Blind Services (DBS) is the state
agency responsible for
ensuring Floridians of all ages, who are blind or visually
impaired, can live
independently and achieve their life goals.
Mission
The mission of Florida DBS is to ensure blind and visually-impaired Floridians have the
tools, support and
opportunity to achieve success.
Vision
The vision of DBS in partnership with others, is to create a barrier free
environment in the lives of
Floridians with visual disabilities.
Who we Serve
Florida DBS serves statewide, with 10 District Offices, 5 Satellite Offices, a
Braille and Talking Book
Library, and a Rehabilitation Center for the Blind.
Programs and Services
Specialized programs provide valuable training to assist individuals who are blind, as well as those with diminished vision.
