2025 Family Cafe
The annual Family Cafe brings Floridians with all types of disabilities together for three days of information, training, and networking each June. With a great range of individual breakout sessions, a packed Exhibit Hall with dozens of vendors, and a series of special events, including Keynote speakers and The Governors' Summit on Disabilities, The Annual Family Cafe offers attendees exposure to resources on a grand scale, unprecedented access to policy-making officials, and a chance to network with other individuals with disabilities and their families.

Helping Families Understand the Benefits of Student Participation in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) MeetingPresenters: Lisa Friedman-Chavez, Region 5 Transition Representative, and Kim Thorne, Region 3 Transition Representative
This session introduces a new Project 10 publication, "Helping Families Understand the Benefits of Student Participation in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) Meeting". This session will focus on preparing students for positive growth experiences through IEP participation and how to help families encourage their students to seize the opportunity for personal growth.
Bureau of School Improvement (BSI) 2025 Summer Academy: Sustaining Momentum -- Strengthening Coherence for Lasting Impact
Project 10 will be participating in the Partner Showcase with other agencies and IDEA-funded State Projects.

2025 Summer FDOE's Bureau of Standards and Instructional Support (BSIS) Professional Learning Events
Two weeks of Professional Learning will take place in July 2025. Train-the-trainer model will be utilized with the expectation that participants attend as a team and return to their district/school to then train their colleagues. Project 10 will be co-presenting with FIN on the topic of "Best Practices to Support Middle School Students with Disabilities across the Continuum of Alternative Placements to Achieve Positive School Outcomes."
