This page contains resources for students who are ready to apply for a job opening as well as for educators and family members who are supporting them.

Protect your identity:  Unless it is needed for a legitimate purpose such as a mandatory background check, don’t provide your Social Security Number to an employer until you have been hired and are completing your payroll forms!  

Choices Explorer

America’s Job Bank (AJB) 
Although AJB ceased job search operations on 7/1/07, the site is still open and contains a career resource library and information on writing a resume, writing letters, interviewing, and more.

On-line guide with a wealth of information including resumes, cover letters, applications, interviews, and more.   

Quintessential Careers 
Contains information on cover and thank you letters, resumes, portfolios, interviews, dress for success, references, and more.  Also has a "Jobs and Career Resources for Teenagers" page.  Job Searching 
Information and tips on writing resumes, cover letters, and all types of job-related correspondence; interview questions, answers, and follow-up; employment references; completing job applications on-line, in person, by e-mail, and more.

National Business & Disability Council Job Seeker
National job search page for people with disabilities.  Also includes webcasts on resume writing and "elevator pitches". 

National recruiting site for job seekers, employers, and agencies.  Also includes information and tips on resumes and interviews. 
Job search site for job seekers and employers with tools such as resume critiques, career advice, and "Bright Fuse," an on-line site for creating a personal profile, networking, and promoting your profile to recruiters and employers.
