This school-based enterprise serves students that are 18-22. Students learn the basics of business through this hands-on learning opportunity. Students make fire starters for fireplaces, fire pits, and barbecue grills from recycled toilet paper and paper towel empty rolls. Each is stuffed with newspaper and then wrapped in a final piece for igniting.

Pen artists assemble the mold, heat and form the pliable ink tube, then clamp until cooled and set. Pens are ready for ink insertion and capping once cooled. Inventory and orders are taken daily.

This school-based enterprise serves students that are 18-22 and receiving a Special Diploma. Students learn the basics of business and employment through this hands-on activity. The Coffee Pit serves coffee to government building staff and visitors for 4 hours per day. It is located at the County Government building and supported by a county commissioner.

Students follow a pattern and sew purses. The purses are sold to faculty and students during holidays such as Christmas, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. We also sell ice cream on our campus.

Students make farm products (goat milk soap, rustic signs, fresh eggs) and sale them in the Special Hearts Farm Store. All monies collected go back to the non-profit business “Special Hearts Farm, Inc”, which purchases and provides all the supplies for the Farm store.

The students working the Bear Cave sell items and deliver balloons and bears to classrooms. They also update and check inventory as well as taking an active part in selecting items to sell in the school store.

This is a food cart that is at the county office building. They serve a limited breakfast menu 3 days per week. The students are in an IND self-contained setting. The students order the merchandise, go to the store to get the merchandise. Prepare anything that must be prepared. Many of the foods are pre-packaged. This enterprise has been going for 3 years.
