Florida State Standards

The Florida Standards reflect expectations of what students should know and be able to do from kindergarten through 12th grade. The State Board of Education adopted new Florida Standards in March 2014, including access points, the means through which students with a significant cognitive disability have accessed the general education content.

CPALMS (Collaborate Plan Align Learn Motivate Share)
CPALMS, Florida’s platform for educators to Collaborate, Plan, Align, Learn, Motivate, and Share, enables users to browse or search the State Standards, including lesson plans and resources.

End of Course (EOC) Assessments
EOC assessments are computer-based, criterion-referenced assessments that measure the standards for specific courses, as outlined in their course descriptions.

English Language Arts Florida Standards (LAFS) and Mathematics Florida Standards (MAFS) Parent Guides by Grade Level
Parents and teachers can download the standards by grade level in math and Language Arts.

Florida Standards Alternate Assessment (FSAA)
The FSAA is designed for students whose participation in the general statewide assessment program (Florida Standards Assessments, Statewide Science Assessment, Next Generation Sunshine State Standards End-of-Course Assessments) is not appropriate, even with accommodations.

The Florida Standards Assessments are designed to measure progress and educational gains of students.
