Evaluation

A way of collecting information about a student’s learning needs, strengths and interests. It is used to help decide whether a student has a disability and is eligible for ESE programs and services. It may include giving individual tests, observing the child, looking at records and talking with the student and parents. Also see "assessments” and "transition assessment".
